Relaxed Burn Ban Details

Statewide outdoor burning ban lifted on October 1

Milton Fire Marshal urges citizens to abide by city and fire code burning regulations

Milton residents are reminded to practice outdoor burning safety with the end of the state Environmental Protection Division’s burn ban.

On October 1, Milton Citizens who live in agriculturally zoned areas of the city are allowed to burn small piles of yard debris as long as they abide by fire regulations. Though permitted burning of yard debris generally applies to all areas of the city EXCEPT the Highway 9 / Deerfield Corridor and within residential subdivisions, please refer to the Maps section or call city hall at 678-242-2500 if you are unsure if you live in an agriculturally zoned area.
