In November 2016, citizens throughout Fulton County will have the opportunity to vote on a proposed Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST). This potential 0.75% (3/4 cent), five-year referendum could bring a projected $36.5 million to the City of Milton to fund transportation projects.
To prepare for this possible referendum, all cities must present their lists of potential TSPLOST projects to Fulton County by the end of May 2016 to meet the November 2016 ballot deadline.
The City of Milton has been working on identifying projects through the CTP efforts. Over the last year, the CTP process has worked with the public, inventoried existing conditions, analyzed current and future needs, and developed project recommendations to respond to these needs. As we finalize the CTP and the TSPLOST list, we need your help to prioritize projects to best position the City for future transportation success.
