Joe Longoria has been a resident of Milton for 17 years. A longtime business and civic leader, Longoria has a proven record of accomplishments across a wide spectrum of activities
First elected to City Council in 2009, he completed his first term in 2013. He was reelected and started his second term in 2014.
Longoria works as a technology executive for U.S. Bank and leads their technology initiatives related to anti-money laundering, fraud detection/prevention and customer due diligence. He has worked in this field for the past 10 years with a variety of financial institutions and software vendors.
Between 2006 and 2009, Longoria served as treasurer for the Crooked Creek Homeowners Association, and chaired the HOA's finance committee. He served as a Commissioner in the Boy Scouts of America, as well as a local troop leader. Since 2000, he served on numerous boards and committees for the Boy Scouts within the Atlanta Area Council.
Longoria and his family were founding members of Saint Brigid Catholic Church in Johns Creek. He served on the five-year strategic planning committee for Holy Redeemer Catholic School and was an active member of the Blessed Trinity High School Athletic Association.
Longoria graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in computer science. He has been married to his wife, Brenda, for 30 years. They have three children all living in and around the Milton area. Longoria enjoys golf, tennis, backpacking, camping and enjoying the Georgia outdoors.
