The Planning Commission is a seven-member advisory board that reports its findings and recommendations to City Council.
The Planning Commission proactively evaluates and recommends changes to subdivision regulations, zoning ordinances and zoning maps as appropriate, as well as the overall planning processes utilized in the City of Milton, consistent with the laws of the State of Georgia.
Planning Commission is also charged with actively participating in the creation of Milton's Comprehensive Plan and, thereafter, proactively recommending changes to that plan, as required, to keep it current with the wants and needs of the residents and property owners of Milton.
Submission guidelines and dates are available by contacting the Community Development Department.
Planning Commission meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. in City Council chambers. All meetings are open to the public and anyone is welcome to attend. Visit the Milton calendar to confirm meeting dates and times.
